Swim Rebecca. Swim!: Notorious Alki Swimmers

I live in Seattle, WA and work in college administration. I discovered open water swimming in 2007 when I trained for the SeaFair triathlon. A torn calf muscle the following summer pushed me towards swimming instead of running. Now swimming is my primary sport.

This blog was created to document my year of Open Water Swimming. The goal was one outdoor swim (or more) a week for a year. Starting July 1, 2011, ending June 30, 2012. I didn't make it. Life got in the way, and the water got too cold. So I tried again in 15'-16' and was successful. I've been swimming through the winter ever since!
